Intro to Jesus
Simply stated, Jesus is the One sent from God to rescue us from punishment so that we might be reconciled to the God who created us and loves us.
The Bible declares that Jesus came from heaven to reveal God to us (John 1:1-18) and to give His life as a ransom for ours (Mark 10:45). His teaching and miracles all gave clear and compelling witness again and again to whom He was and why He died (Acts 2:22-24). His resurrection from the dead was the ultimate witness of His deity and confirmation that His sacrifice was sufficient to satisfy the justice of God (Romans 1:4 and 1 Peter 1:3).
Our salvation is found in trusting Jesus alone (faith) and the sacrificial work He accomplished on the cross (Hebrews 12:2).
