MHBC Kids

The Children’s Ministry of Morrison Heights Baptist Church (MHBC Kids) exists to partner with parents to help children…
BUILD the right foundation for life
SEEK to find God
KNOW Him personally
LIVE it out in their daily lives
Infants – Kindergarten
Babies and toddlers are cared for in a warm, loving and safe environment. They learn about Jesus in small group settings that encourage participation and interaction through songs, stories, interactive playtime, prayer and puppets. Once your children reach preschool age, we will introduce the large-group experience. This is when we sing silly songs together, yell out lots of answers to Bible questions and have a lot of fun while learning about God. We use First Look Curriculum with our preschool age kids.
GRADES 1st – 6th
Your child will begin their morning hanging out with their friends in small group classrooms. After a short time, they will enter our high-octane, high-powered, large-group worship. Here we will sing loudly together, listen to Bible stories from some of our wild worship leaders, and have as much fun as possible at church! This is a fun and interactive time for the kids to worship and for us to teach about the love of Jesus. We all learn better when it’s fun!
After large group, we go back to our classrooms with our friends where we have activities, do a craft and talk about our weekly lesson. Your kids will want to come back week after week and are welcome to bring some of their friends! With our elementary age kids, we use 252 Basics Curriculum. Each month we focus on a different virtue and every Sunday you will receive a GodTime Card and Fridge Door Card for your family to use during the week to continue to grow together!
MHBC KIDS Security
Each child will receive 1 adhesive nametag to wear during his/her time in the children’s ministry. One security claim check will be printed for the parents. The nametag and the security claim check will have the same unique and randomly generated family code.
When picking up your child, go directly to your child’s assigned classroom. Your child’s teacher will match the code on your child’s nametag with the one on your security claim check. Once the match is verified, your child will be released to you. You must have your security claim check to pick up your child.
