Regional Missions

Recently our region has experienced one disaster after another.  When storms arise and disaster strikes, Operation Hope goes into action.  Tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters in Mississippi and neighboring states require a quick and precise response.  Our Operation Hope volunteers work in partnership with Baptist Disaster Relief teams to respond to those in need.  When refugees come to our doors–as they did during Hurricane Katrina by the scores–we opened our relief shelter to minister food, shelter, and the love of Christ.

Morrison Heights is preparing for the coming hurricane season by assembling a Hurricane Response Team.  If  a hurricane strikes our Gulf Coast, we will be prepared to open a shelter to provide a safe environment for those in harms way.  If you would like to volunteer for our hurricane relief shelter contact Donna Rush, (Shelter Coordinator) at 601-941-9312 or Susan Grubs, (Medical Coordinator) at 601-668-0595.
