HURRICANE RELIEF

COLLECTION

On Sunday, August 29, Hurricane Ida battered the Gulf Coast, causing significant damage and power outages in Louisiana. Morrison Heights and Mississippi College partnered with St. Rose Community Church in St. Rose, Louisiana to collect and distribute much needed supplies to those impacted by the storm.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO BROUGHT DONATIONS TO OUR TRAILER! THE SUPPLIES WILL SOON BE ON THEIR WAY TO SOUTH LOUISIANA.

GET INVOLVED BY

DONATING

If you would like to get involved now by donating financially to this cause, we suggest you consider donating in one of two ways:

The first is to write a check payable to MHBC and include on the memo line "Hurricane Disaster Relief." You can drop your check off at the church office or drop in one of the offering boxes this Sunday.

You can also donate online through Pushpay - our online giving portal. Click the link on this page to give. These funds will be used to support a local church impacted by the hurricane as they minister to the people of their community.

The second option would be to support the work of Send Relief, formerly Baptist Global Response, by making a monetary donation at www.sendrelief.org or by writing a check to MHBC and include on the memo line "Send Relief - Hurricane." All funds received through either option will be sent as quickly as possible.

UPDATE FROM

ST. ROSE, LA

Over Labor Day weekend, a team of volunteers from Morrison Heights, including several students from Mississippi College, travelled to St. Rose, LA to help residents recover from Hurricane Ida. The group divided into teams and spread throughout the community helping with the removal of fallen and damaged trees and tarping damaged roofs. Volunteers were also able to help St. Rose Community Church unload much needed supplies from trucks that arrived throughout the weekend. Several families were helped by this team but there is so much work left to be done. Will you consider joining us on our next trip to St. Rose?
