In keeping with Ephesians 4:12, to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”, Morrison Heights is excited to announce our new Missions Residency Program. This program is designed to help prepare individuals for service as church planters and global missionaries through biblical and practical applications.
As you will see, this program provides the opportunity for residents to specialize in one of four categories: Resident Intern, Specialized Ministry Resident, Church Planting Resident, or Global Missions Resident, depending on your personal career interests. During your time in this program, you will spend valuable time with other ministry leaders, church planters, & missionaries who will provide godly counsel and practical advice to help you prepare for your future.
Application into this program is available to both members and non-members of Morrison Heights 
with candidates being selected annually as positions become available.

RESIDENT INTERN

The Resident Intern position is designed for the college senior or graduate whose intentions are to pursue a career as a church planter or missionary. The requirements for the Resident Intern include:
Ability to serve either a six-month or twelve-month residency
Intentions of attending seminary or on-line classes
Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Provide assistance with recruitment and mobilization
Compensation will be provided throughout the internship and the resident will be eligible to apply for one of the full-time residency positions upon completion.

SPECIALIZED MINISTRY RESIDENT

The Specialized Ministry Resident position will be made available for individuals seeking a career in ministries of specialized areas such as human trafficking, prison ministry, disaster relief, international ministry, refugee ministry or other similar emphasis. The requirements for this position include:
Ability to serve either a six-month or twelve-month residency
Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Create an acceptable ministry plan including model, strategy, and budget
Willingness to recruit others to aid in planning of & participating in the planned ministry
Compensation will be provided for the resident focusing on a specialized ministry.

CHURCH PLANTING RESIDENT

The Church Planting Resident position is reserved for the individual seeking a sending church to partner in the planting of an SBC church. A maximum of two candidates will be chosen annually or as positions become available in the Residency Program. The requirements to be considered for the Church Planting Resident position include:
Ability to reside in the Clinton area
Commitment to serve in this role for up to two years
Available to work 40 hours per week including weekends
Enrolled in or completed seminary training
Achieve approval to plant through NAMB or 242 Network Church Planter Assessment
Availability to accept leadership roles in Morrison Heights throughout the residency period
Participation in all aspects of the CP Residency Program which includes development of strategy, establishment of Core Team, support raising education, and coordination of vision trips
Compensation will be provided for the resident focusing on church planting however, support raising for the planter’s personal needs as well as the needs of the church plant is expected prior to launch. Morrison Heights will serve as the sending church for all church planters who complete the residency program.

GLOBAL MISSIONS RESIDENT

For the individual considering a career in global missions, the residency program will provide support and encouragement through their decision-making process. One candidate will be selected to serve in this role annually or as positions become available in the residency program. This position is reserved for those who have not yet determined their sending organization, are completing seminary requirements for IMB or other sending agencies, or those desiring a one or two year “gap” assignment.
The requirements to be considered for the Global Missions Resident position include:
Reside in the Clinton area
Commitment to serve in this role for up to two years
Available to work 40 hours per week including weekends
Enrolled in or completed seminary training as required by sending organization
Willingness to support the global mission efforts of Morrison Heights
Availability to accept leadership roles in Morrison Heights throughout the residency period
Willingness to commit to serve a mid-term global assignment
Participation in all aspects of the Residency Program which includes development of strategy, establishment of Core Team, support raising education, and coordination of vision trips
Compensation will be provided for the resident focusing on global missions however, support raising for the planter’s personal needs as well as project funding is expected. Morrison Heights will serve as the sending church for all global mission residnets who complete the residency program.
