The Mission Statement at Morrison Heights Baptist Church states that our purpose is to “proclaim the greatness of God through Jesus Christ as the eternal hope of all peoples“. What better way to do this than serving alongside other team members on the mission field! We are excited that you are interested in serving with us and want to make your mission trip experience as effective as possible. As you commit to serving with others, we ask that you also commit to pray for your team, for yourself, and for those you will be serving during your travels. A team focused on God, rather than self, will be in a position to accomplish great things.
Below is a list of the mission trips we are planning for 2020. More may be added. If are interested in more information about one or more of these trips, click “I WANT MORE INFORMATION” below. To apply to participate in a trip, click on the flag representing the trip you wish to attend and locate “APPLY FOR THIS TRIP” at the bottom of the page. Once you apply, you will receive communication about the trip.
Keep in mind, you ARE NOT REQUIRED to submit any payment for a trip at the time of application. Payment deadlines will be released on a trip-by-trip basis.

Financial Guidelines and Procedures
Each individual choosing to participate in a short-term mission trip is responsible and accountable for raising funds necessary for their travel, daily expenses, and for any expenses shared among the team to fulfill the team’s mission trip purpose.
Scholarships may be available for individual team members who have exhausted their fundraising efforts. A Short-Term Mission Trip Scholarship Application should be submitted to the Associate Pastor of Missions for consideration of funds. Please submit any requests for scholarships a minimum of 30 days prior to the departure date of the mission trip.
Individuals may raise personal funds to offset the cost of their mission trip by participating in certain Missions fundraisers. For example, by working the Annual Missions Garage Sale, credit may be accrued based on the amount of funds raised and the number of hours an individual works. Funds may be used toward MHBC sponsored mission trips within twelve (12) months of the fundraising event.
All mission trip participants will be required to participate in a group travel insurance policy. When all Short-Term Mission Trip Applications are compiled for the team, the Missions Office will purchase this policy. Each individual will be responsible for the cost of the insurance, typically $30-40 per week for international travel, depending on location.
For more information about Missions at MHBC, please contact Tim Rowan, Associate Pastor of Missions, at 601.925.6425, or by email at email@example.com.
